# Billing and credits

> layZ plans, monthly credits, credit packs, storage, workflow retention, and how to manage billing in Stripe. Starter, Creator, and Pro only.

layZ does **not** offer a free plan. Tools, workflows, the editor, media, and MCP require an active **Starter**, **Creator**, or **Pro** subscription.

## Plans

Plan credits refill each billing period. Purchased pack credits carry over.

## What uses credits

Credits power downloads, AI chat, script writing, voiceover, clipping, text removal, enhancement, and exports. The product shows an estimate before heavier jobs. Failed jobs do not keep the charge. MCP uses the same credits as the dashboard for matching actions.

## Credit packs

Subscribers can buy 250, 500, 1,000, or custom credit packs. Creator and Pro get pack discounts. When you run out, layZ suggests upgrading or buying a pack.

Opening a workflow run refreshes retention. Over storage, new uploads are blocked until you free space or upgrade.

## Manage billing

Use **Manage billing** on the billing page for payment methods, invoices, and subscription changes through Stripe.
