# Account and plans

> Create a layZ account, choose Starter, Creator, or Pro, and understand what each plan unlocks for tools, MCP, storage, and credits.

layZ accounts live at [layz.ai](https://layz.ai). layZ does **not** offer a free plan. Choose **Starter**, **Creator**, or **Pro** to use tools, workflows, the AI Video Editor, media, and MCP. Credits power downloads, AI features, and heavier processing jobs.

## Create an account

**1. Sign up**

Open [layz.ai/auth/signup](https://layz.ai/auth/signup). Use email and password or a configured social login.

**2. Verify email if prompted**

Complete verification from [Auth → Verify](https://layz.ai/auth/verify) when required.

**3. Choose a plan**

Pick Starter, Creator, or Pro from [Choose a plan](https://layz.ai/choose-plan), [Upgrade](https://layz.ai/app/upgrade), or [Settings → Billing](https://layz.ai/app/settings/billing).

Without an active paid plan, Home and Settings stay available and the rest of the app shows the upgrade screen.

## What “unlimited MCP” means

Paid plans do not cap how many AI clients you connect or how often you call MCP. Each MCP action still spends the same credits as the matching dashboard feature (downloads, voiceover, export, enhancer, and so on).

* **Security:** password, sessions, and optional 2FA / passkeys when enabled

## Example: pick a plan for daily Shorts

* **Starter:** a few downloads and light edits per day
* **Creator:** daily posting with workflows, more storage, concurrent jobs, and top-up discount
* **Pro:** studio volume, longest workflow retention, priority GPU queue, and dedicated support

When you run out of credits mid-month, buy a [credit pack](https://docs.layz.ai/account/billing-and-credits.md#credit-packs) or upgrade. Plan credits refill each billing period; purchased bonus credits carry over.
