# Make videos with Claude and layZ

> Connect Claude to layZ MCP to produce Shorts and commentary videos from chat, including guided script approval.

Claude can run layZ end to end after you connect it.

## Setup

[Connect Claude](https://docs.layz.ai/mcp/connect-claude.md) (web connector or Claude Code).

## Strong first prompt

```text theme={null}
Using layZ, start Generic Commentary for <url>.
Inspect frames yourself, save visual notes, write a 30s script,
pause for my approval, then voice, edit, export, and QA frames.
```

## Tips for Claude

* Ask it to call `layz_get_current_step` after each module
* Prefer guided mode when you want final say on narration
* Keep the workflow link Claude returns for browser review

See [Workflows and commentary (MCP)](https://docs.layz.ai/mcp/workflows-and-commentary.md).
