# Troubleshooting

> Fix common layZ issues: paywalls, credits, downloads failing, GPU jobs stuck, MCP auth errors, editor conflicts, and export limits.

## I only see an upgrade screen

layZ has no free plan. Without an active Starter, Creator, or Pro subscription you can open Home and Settings only. Subscribe from [Upgrade](https://layz.ai/app/upgrade) or [Pricing](https://layz.ai/pricing).

## Insufficient credits

* Check the credit ring in the header
* Buy a [pack](https://docs.layz.ai/account/billing-and-credits.md#credit-packs) or upgrade
* Wait for the monthly refill on the next billing date

## Download will not resolve

* Confirm the post is public
* Try the original platform share URL
* Retry later if the platform rate-limits
* Upload a local file instead via workflow upload or MCP `layz_request_upload`

## Text remover or enhancer stuck / queued

* Check concurrent job cap (1 / 3 / 6)
* Leave the page open or reconnect later; jobs continue server-side
* If the job fails, credits should refund; retry with a smaller file

## Export refused (429 / concurrent limit)

Wait for other GPU jobs to finish or upgrade for a higher concurrency cap. Pro gets priority queueing.

## MCP client cannot connect

* Confirm paid plan
* Create a fresh connection under [Settings → Connections](https://docs.layz.ai/account/ai-connections.md)
* Complete OAuth consent in the browser
* Revoke old tokens and reconnect
* Verify the client points at the layZ MCP URL from the Connect AI dialog

## Agent cannot open my editor project

* Click **Save** in the web editor
* Retry `layz_open_editor_project`
* If you had local unsaved changes, choose save or discard, then reopen

## Files missing from an old run

Workflow retention likely expired. See [Run history](https://docs.layz.ai/workflows/run-history.md).
