# Connect ChatGPT

> Connect layZ MCP to ChatGPT so you can download, edit, and export videos from a ChatGPT conversation.

## Steps

**1. Open Connect AI → ChatGPT**

Follow the on-screen connector / OAuth flow in layZ.

**2. Approve the layZ connection**

Sign in and allow access.

**3. Start a chat that can use the connector**

Confirm layZ tools are available in that conversation.

**4. Run a smoke test**

`Use layZ to list templates.`

## Good first tasks

* Download a single public URL
* Remove a watermark from a file the downloader just created
* Start Generic Commentary and pause before voiceover for your approval

Browser-based clients need the connection to stay authorized; if tools disappear, reconnect under Settings → Connections.
