# Connect Claude

> Connect layZ to Claude (claude.ai or Claude Code) with MCP so Claude can build and export videos on your account.

## Claude on the web

**1. Open Connect AI**

In layZ, choose **Claude** and follow the OAuth / connector instructions shown in the dialog.

**2. Complete browser consent**

Approve layZ access while signed into the correct layZ account.

**3. Enable the connector in Claude**

Make sure the layZ / MCP connector is available to the chat you are using.

**4. Test**

Ask: `List my layZ workflow templates.`

## Claude Code

If Connect AI shows a CLI snippet for Claude Code, run it in your terminal, then complete OAuth when the browser opens. Verify with `layz_list_templates` from a Claude Code session.

## Tips

* Prefer one clear goal per chat (“download and clean” vs “full commentary to export”)
* For guided Commentary, tell Claude you want to approve the script before voiceover
* Keep the workflow link Claude returns so you can review in the browser
