# Download and pipelines (MCP)

> Use layZ MCP pipelines to download media, remove text, and enhance files with polling, uploads, and recent file reuse.

Smart pipelines create or reuse a dashboard workflow behind the scenes so one chat can run utility jobs end to end.

## Tools

| Tool | Purpose |
| - | - |
| `layz_plan_workflow` | Preview the inferred module chain without running |
| `layz_download_media` | Downloader pipeline |
| `layz_remove_text` | Download (if needed) + text remover |
| `layz_enhance_media` | Download (if needed) + enhancer settings |
| `layz_get_run` | Poll status (`waitSeconds` optional) |
| `layz_show_run` | Present files/player in chat UIs |
| `layz_request_upload` | Mint a browser upload page for local files |
| `layz_list_recent_files` | Reuse prior `sourceFileIds` |
| `layz_list_run_files` | Signed view/download URLs |

## Examples

**Download only**

layz_download_media for https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=…
Wait until done and list files.
```

**Clean an existing file**

```text theme={null}
layz_remove_text with sourceFileIds: ["file_…"]
```

**Enhance with settings**

```text theme={null}
layz_enhance_media scale=2 quality=balanced keepAudio=true on sourceFileIds=["file_…"]
```

**Local file**

```text theme={null}
I need to upload a private clip. Call layz_request_upload and give me the link.
After I upload, continue with text removal.
```

## Credits

Same as the dashboard: downloads and cleanup jobs use your plan credits. The product shows an estimate before heavier jobs.
