# Text and watermark remover

> Remove burned-in captions, logos, and watermarks from videos and images with layZ. Batch upload, before/after compare, Workflows, and MCP.

**Remove Text from Video** erases burned-in captions, watermarks, and logos so you can recaption and rebrand cleanly. Open [layz.ai/app/tools/text-remover](https://layz.ai/app/tools/text-remover). Image mode: `?media=image`. `/app/tools/watermark-remover` redirects here.

## MCP

```text theme={null}
Remove watermarks and on-screen text from this file with layZ, then show the result.
```

Tool: `layz_remove_text`.

## After cleanup

Add new captions in [Captions](https://docs.layz.ai/video-editor/captions.md) instead of leaving empty space where text used to be.

## FAQ

> [accordion] Should I enhance before or after removal?
>
> Remove large overlays first. Enhancing first can make watermarks harder to erase.

> [accordion] What if some text remains?
>
> Re-run, try a tighter crop, or mask the area in the editor.
