# Video editor projects

> Create, open, rename, sort, and delete layZ AI Video Editor projects. Storage quotas and MCP project tools.

The **AI Video Editor** library lives at [layz.ai/app/projects](https://layz.ai/app/projects). Each project is a timeline you can reopen, edit with AI, and export.

## Project library actions

| Action | Details |
| - | - |
| **New project** | Opens `layz.ai/app/projects/editor` |
| **Open** | Continue editing |
| **Rename** | Change the display name |
| **Delete** | Remove the project (confirm carefully) |
| **Bulk select** | Delete multiple projects |
| **Sort** | Most recent, oldest, name A-Z / Z-A |
| **Templates** | Jump to Workflows |
| **Connect AI** | Link an MCP client |

## Storage

Uploads into editor storage count toward your **cloud editor storage** cap (25 / 100 / 500 GB by plan). Over quota, uploads return an error and the editor shows an upgrade dialog. Downgrading does not delete files; you must free space before new uploads.

## MCP project tools

| Tool | Purpose |
| - | - |
| `layz_list_projects` | List saved projects |
| `layz_create_project` | Create empty project |
| `layz_open_editor_project` | Bind a saved project to an MCP session |
| `layz_duplicate_project` | Copy a project |
| `layz_delete_project` | Permanent delete (`confirm: true`) |

Save in the browser before asking an agent to open a project if you have unsaved local changes. Unsaved web edits can block MCP open/import.
