# Run history

> Find past layZ workflow runs, reopen files before retention expires, keep runs longer, and resume work from the dashboard or MCP.

**Run history** lists workflow runs for official and custom templates.

## What you can do

* Open a run to continue an unfinished step
* Download artifacts while they still exist
* Use **Keep for N days** (when shown) to refresh retention
* Share the run URL with teammates who have account access

## Retention reminder

Inactive runs and their files expire based on plan (7 / 30 / 90 days). Opening or updating a run restarts the countdown. Export files you care about to your device or into long-lived [Media / editor storage](https://docs.layz.ai/media/library.md).
